By creating an account or using the Settle app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Settle is a platform that connects people who've been injured in an accident with independent lawyers, medical providers, and auto body shops ("Providers"). We make introductions — the Provider you're matched with is the one who will advise, treat, or repair. Settle is not a party to the relationship between you and the Provider.
Information in the Settle app is for general purposes only. It's not legal advice, medical advice, or a professional repair estimate. Don't rely on anything in the app as a substitute for professional judgement from a licensed attorney, doctor, or shop.
Using Settle does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and Settle, or between you and any attorney, until you and that attorney sign a written engagement agreement. Submitting a claim through Settle is a request for an introduction, nothing more.
Settle is free for you to use. We do not charge users a subscription, a per-message fee, or any fee at settlement.
How we make money: Settle is paid a marketing and matching fee by the attorneys, doctors, and body shops in our network when they accept a case we send to them. This payment is separate from any fee a Provider charges you, does not increase what you owe the Provider, and does not affect the amount you recover. We disclose this so you understand the business relationship; it does not change a Provider's independent professional judgment.
What you pay Providers: Lawyers who accept your case typically work on a contingency basis — they only get paid if your case wins, and their fee comes out of the settlement under the engagement agreement you sign with them. Medical providers and body shops may bill your insurance directly or treat under a letter of protection. Ask each Provider about their fees before you commit, and read every fee agreement before signing.
By providing your phone number and creating an account, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Settle for verification codes, claim updates, and Provider match notifications. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out (note: doing so may prevent us from contacting you about your claim).
Don't use Settle to submit false claims, impersonate anyone, harass Providers, or attempt to disrupt the service. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.
Settle provides the app "as is" without warranties of any kind. Results you get from a Provider depend on the facts of your case, the Provider's skill, and factors outside our control. Past settlement amounts are not a guarantee of future results.
To the extent permitted by law, Settle is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to $100.
Any dispute between you and Settle will be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, in the state of Texas, unless prohibited by your state's law. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these terms by emailing legal@summitinjuryclaims.com.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
